What Does a Mini Brow Lift Entail?

What Does a Mini Brow Lift Entail?

About 88,000 people in the United States have brow lifts every year. This procedure reduces forehead wrinkles and makes you look more youthful. It can be invasive and require considerable recovery, which is why many patients choose a mini brow lift instead.

Also known as a temporal brow lift or a lateral brow lift, a mini brow lift also rejuvenates the appearance of the forehead and eyebrows. But, it’s less invasive and requires a shorter recovery time.

Dr. Elliott H. Rose of The Aesthetic Surgery Center is a renowned plastic surgeon who has vast experience in performing facial cosmetic procedures, like the mini brow lift. Learn what the surgery entails so you can decide if you’d like to schedule a consultation and find out if it’s right for you.

About the mini brow lift procedure

Dr. Rose performs a mini brow lift using either local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. You go home the same day as the procedure to recover.

The procedure begins with placement of the incisions. Usually, these are made just behind the hairline or within the temple area. Dr. Rose strategically places them to ensure minimal scarring and hide any scars that do persist.

He then uses special instruments to lift and reposition the underlying tissues and muscles in the brow area. This technique helps to elevate the outer part of the eyebrows and smooth out forehead wrinkles or furrows.

If necessary, Dr. Rose removes any excess skin to achieve a smoother and more taut appearance. This step helps eliminate sagging or drooping skin that contributes to a tired or aged look. He closes the incisions using sutures or skin adhesives..

Why would I choose a mini brow lift?

A mini brow lift is minimally invasive, especially compared to a full brow lift. The smaller incisions and targeted approach result in reduced surgical trauma, decreased scarring, and a faster recovery time.

You get natural results because the focus of the surgery is on the outer brow area. Changes are subtle, yet significant, giving you a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance. Dr. Rose uses his skill so that the mini brow lift harmonizes with your facial features.

A mini brow lift comes with a relatively short recovery period. Any swelling and bruising resolves within a few days to a week. Dr. Rose gives you specific recommendations according to your healing process, but most people can return to their regular activities quickly.

Long-lasting results

While individual results may vary, a mini brow lift can provide long-lasting benefits. By addressing the underlying tissues and muscles, the procedure helps to maintain the lifted brow position for an extended period.

The promise of these results makes a mini brow lift a great choice compared to Botox® injections, which provide smoothing of forehead lines for just 3-4 months. Of course, you can get retreatments with Botox, but results vary, and Botox cannot smooth deep creases. A mini brow lift can.
