A Closer Look at the Multivector Facelift

A Closer Look at the Multivector Facelift

The multivector facelift is a cutting-edge procedure that gives you natural and lasting results. But, what makes the multivector facelift special and how does it differ from a traditional facelift?

Here at The Aesthetic Surgery Center, our renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Elliott H. Rose, offers expert cosmetic facial surgery, including the multivector facelift, to address multiple aging concerns in a single, comprehensive treatment.

Let’s take a closer look at what the multivector facelift entails and how it can help you achieve a more youthful, refreshed appearance.

All about the multivector facelift

The multivector facelift is an advanced surgical technique designed to lift and tighten the face in multiple directions, or vectors, simultaneously. Dr. Rose addresses the signs of aging by strategically lifting each area of the face – brows, temples, cheeks, jawline, and neck – in the opposite direction of gravity's pull. This method rejuvenates your appearance by restoring higher cheekbones, smoothing out jowls, and sculpting the neck and jawline.

Unlike traditional facelifts, which primarily focus on a single plane of lifting, the multivector approach addresses sagging skin, deep wrinkles, and loss of volume across different areas of the face. This method provides a more natural and harmonious rejuvenation to ensure that all facial components are lifted and repositioned in a balanced manner.

The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under intravenous sedation anesthesia.

The process of the multivector facelift

During the multivector facelift, Dr. Rose strategically places incisions and uses specialized techniques to lift and secure the underlying facial tissues.

The process begins with a comprehensive consultation at our office. During this session, we assess your facial structure, discuss your aesthetic goals, and develop a customized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.

On the day of the surgery, a board-certified anesthesiologist at our state-of-the-art AAAASF outpatient facility administers the IV sedation so you’re comfortable throughout the procedure.

Dr. Rose places small, discreet incisions in strategic locations, typically around the hairline and behind the ears. These incisions allow him to access the deeper layers of facial tissue. Then, using precise techniques, Dr. Rose lifts and repositions the facial tissues in multiple directions.

This multivector approach addresses the vertical, horizontal, and oblique planes, which provides a comprehensive lift and natural-looking results.

Sutures and special anchors secure the lifted tissues, and Dr. Rose removes any excess skin to create a smooth, tightened appearance. He closes the incisions and applies bandages to support the healing process.

You’re given detailed postoperative care instructions to ensure a smooth recovery.

Why consider a multivector facelift

The multivector facelift offers many benefits when compared to traditional facelift techniques.

By lifting the face in multiple directions, this technique achieves a more natural and balanced rejuvenation, avoiding the "pulled" or "overdone" look often associated with traditional facelifts.

The multivector approach addresses sagging skin, deep wrinkles, and volume loss across the entire face, providing a complete transformation.

The advanced techniques used in this procedure help ensure longer-lasting results, allowing you to enjoy your youthful appearance for years to come. You also experience minimal visible scarring because of the strategic placement of the incisions.

A refreshed and rejuvenated appearance can significantly enhance your self-esteem and confidence, positively impacting various aspects of your life.
